NeuroGASTRO Prizes & Awards

At NeuroGASTRO 2025, prizes will be awarded for the best abstracts in Basic, Translational, and Clinical research, alongside the Young Investigator Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions from early-career researchers in Neurogastroenterology and Motility.

Young Investigator Award

One of the goals of the European Society of Neurogastroenterology & Motility (ESNM) is to broaden the network of professionals in the field of neurogastroenterology and motility and to support them in their (inter)national research projects.

Therefore, ESNM encourages the participation of its young members in the NeuroGASTRO 2025 meeting and the presentation of their research. The ESNM Young Investigator Award enables young clinicians and researchers from around the world to present an abstract at NeuroGASTRO 2025 and provides support for travel costs.

There will be five Young Investigator Awards granted. All young scientists submitting abstracts are encouraged to apply by ticking the corresponding box during abstract submission. The nominee must be first author on an abstract submitted, graduate student / resident / fellow, and no older than 35 years of age. The evaluation will be done by the respective committee.

The Young Investigator Award winners will be informed at the NeuroGASTRO 2025 conference.

Best abstract awards

There will be prizes for the best Basic, Translational and Clinical Abstracts, where authors selected based on the high quality of their abstracts will be given the opportunity to deliver their paper at one of the plenary sessions.

All awardees will receive a certificate.
